Principal
As Principal of Kamrin Communications since 2020, Ed has developed long-term partnerships with category-leading companies across technology, medical devices, and professional services, including Fortune 500 enterprises and innovative mid-market leaders. He specializes in the communications that matter most to leaders: guiding organizations through transformation, sustainability and social impact initiatives, and maintaining trust.
One of the few communications consultants actively serving in board fiduciary roles with established nonprofit organizations ($3-$5M budgets), bringing real-life governance insight to client engagements.
Eight years living and working in Europe; multilingual (English, Finnish, Swedish), with stakeholder experience across global regions.
Ed’s approach draws on two decades of in-house experience. He knows what it’s like to build business cases, earn executive buy-in, and work within complex organizations.
With deep experience on both sides of the client-consultant relationship, he fully understands what clients need and how to deliver it.

At Kamrin Communications, Ed’s clients have included NetApp, JLL, Intuitive Surgical, Splunk and Traditional Medicinals. Before founding his consultancy, Ed led company-wide sustainability and social impact communications, encompassing stakeholder reporting and employee engagement. Earlier in his career, he provided strategic counsel to organizations including Amgen and Gilead Sciences.
Ed brings firsthand governance experience as president and treasurer of nonprofit boards, providing direct insight into the fiduciary and stakeholder responsibilities that leaders face. He has served as Secretary/Treasurer on IABC’s International Executive Board and currently serves as board chair of the Scandinavian School and Cultural Center in San Francisco.
